Douglas Chan

PT, COMT, cert. MDT

Doug graduated from the University of Miami with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 1993. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis in Physiology. He credits his opportunity volunteering with National Handicapped Sports in California and Florida with starting his interest in the field of physical therapy. He also had the opportunity to work with Shake-a-Leg teaching sailing to those with disabilities.Doug is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist by Maitland - Australia Physiotherapy Seminars and a Certified McKenzie Method Provider of Mechanical Diagnosis & Treatment by the McKenzie Institute USA. He utilizes these and multiple other manual therapy techniques in his practice. Having a father who was an orthopedic surgeon, Doug had the opportunity to ask many questions that people are afraid to ask.Doug started his career in the acute care setting working inpatient physical therapy. He has worked with orthopedic and neurologic patients in inpatient rehabilitation as well as in an outpatient setting. Having worked in various settings he understands the challenges patients may experience in their rehabilitation.

Christian Vertudes

PT, DPT, COMT, TPI Certified

Christian graduated in Physical Therapy in the Philippines on 2003 and obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in Shenandoah University, Winchester, VA, on 2014. He started his career as a new graduate in a teaching hospital in Washington, DC obtaining his experience in acute care & skilled nursing setting. He was also the lead wound therapist, respectively. He has experience with multiple settings including home health and outpatient. When he transitioned in outpatient, he experienced working closely with orthopedic surgeons as a manual orthopedic physical therapist. He has continued to attend multiple continuing education to improve his clinical and manual skills.

Christian has been practicing as a certified orthopedic manual therapist (COMT) by Maitland (Australia Physiotherapy Seminars), an Advanced Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Titliest Performance Institute (TPI) certified, and an advanced dry needling practitioner.

Brittney Holt


Brittney graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina on 2014. She then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy on 2018 from Marymount University, Arlington, VA. She has been exposed to a variety of patient population which include orthopedics, neurorehabilitation, & pediatrics. She has a special interest in orthopedic conditions and a passion for manual therapy as an adjunct treatment to therapeutic exercise. She also has an interest in pediatric orthopedic cases along with gross developmental delay and congenital torticollis.

Heath Tapscott


Heath graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA in May of 2008. While completing his studies, Heath gained experience in the physical therapy field by assisting physical therapists in daily patient activity on both a technician level and a personal systems coordinator level. He joined Montclair Physical Therapy in August 2008. Prior to receiving his associates, he obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida in 1999. Heath became a Certified Personal Trainer through American Council on Exercise in 2002 and maintained his own independent personal training business serving a wide range of individual clients, groups, and businesses.

Brittany Fields


Brittany Fields is a Physical Therapist Assistant who graduated from NOVA in 2009. Since graduating from NOVA, she has worked full time at Montclair Physical Therapy and obtained her bachelor's degree from GMU with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy.She has taken a wide range of continuing education courses including Maitland courses to progress her manual therapy skills to enhance her patient treatments. She has also taken causes to enhance her ability to treat patient following lower extremity injuries who wish to return to running programs. She has a love for continuing her learning in the physical therapy field and will continue to interact in courses to better her skills as a therapist.For the past 4 years, Brittany has taken and taught 6 students from the NOVA PTA programs, all within varying levels of their degree. Being able to teach and pass on knowledge to future therapists entering into the field is a joy, because by teaching you are able to watch a student grow as a therapist.

Haleh has been with Montclair Physical Therapy since 2009. In addition to being instrumental in the growth and success of the clinic, she is also a small business owner in conjunction with her husband. As such, she understands the daily commitments of people's schedules.
